Social Worker/Marriage Family Therapist, Child Abuse Programs

Description

Opportunity to work with children who have been victims of child abuse and their families.
Duties include: diagnostic and psychosocial assessment; provide individual, group, and family counseling; assist clients in finding resources to help address those health, economic, housing  issues that contribute to the family’s stress; working towards the solution of problems and stresses that may be contributing to the family’s dysfunction and child abuse. Bilingual (Vietnamese) required.  Starting salary based on experience and professional qualifications. Generous benefit package.

Minimum Qualification: MSW or MA from accredited institution in a mental health field. Must pass background check conducted by the Dept. of Criminal Justice; provide medical statement from your physician; proof of registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS); and, have a valid California driver's license.

Physical and Mental Requirements: Vision sufficient to read standard text, read a computer monitor, prepare and submit reports on a timely basis, and to drive; speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably well enough to communicate clearly and understandably in person, over the telephone, and in small groups; independent body mobility to stand, sit, walk, stoop, and bend to accommodate a standard office environment; manual dexterity to use hands, arms and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard, to write and type extensively, and to drive a vehicle.

Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Program (Full Time)

Description

Exceptional opportunity to provide mental health counseling and psychotherapy to children and families.
Duties include: participating in diagnostic and psychological assessments; providing psychotherapeutic treatment to clients in an individual, group, and couple modality; prepare psychological reports; presenting diagnostic and interview findings, clinic evaluations, and recommendations for treatment and disposition; participating in staff conferences regarding individual cases under treatment and assist in planning further treatment and disposition; participate in in-service training, and, if qualified, provide supervision to other staff.

Individual holding position will participate in CGC-sponsored quality assurance projects; make referrals to other community resources when appropriate; and, complete such documentation as may be required and according to prescribed standards. Bilingual (Spanish) licensed preferred. Bilingual stipend of $4,160 per year for qualified clinician. Starting salary based on experience and professional qualifications. Generous benefit package.

Psychiatrist, Mental Health Program (Part Time)

Description

Santa Ana office needs a part-time contracted child psychiatrist to provide medication monitoring services to children and adolescents suffering from a broad range of clinical syndromes. CGC is dedicated to quality outpatient special mental health services and the effective coordination of therapeutic and medication treatments. Emphasis is on independent clinical judgment, sensitivity to cross-cultural factors, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary staff. Time scheduling is highly flexible. Competitive contract rate. Must possess valid Physician's & Surgeon's Certificate issued by the Medical Board of California and have completed an approved three-year residency in psychiatry in an accredited facility.

Duties include: diagnostic and psychosocial assessment; provide individual, group, couples and family counseling to children and families; assist clients in understanding mental health problems and their reactions to them; working towards the solution of problems and stresses interfering with the treatment of social functioning; modifying unrealistic attitudes; and, strengthening client's, and when applicable family's efforts towards satisfactory adjustments; participate on committees, in meetings and conferences, CGC-sponsored quality assurance studies and projects; make referrals to community resources; complete such documentation as may be required by the particular program or funding source which the services are being rendered according to prescribed standards; when required, provide on site services to schools, co-locations, and other agencies.

Description

The Office Technician is responsible for setting positive expectations for the public and others by greeting guests in person and by phone in a professional, friendly, and hospitable manner; appropriately handling incoming telephone calls in a timely manner; and providing general office support with a variety clerical activities and related tasks as assigned.

Duties include:  type at a corrected rate of 30 words per minute; quickly/accurately enter, revise and print a wide range of information in standardized formats; accurately proofread documents to identify omissions/errors, verify/correct spelling, punctuation, grammar and sentence structure; learn to operate/use a variety of electronic/automated office machines/equipment; operate one or more specific types of automated information processing equipment and software programs; perform a variety of general office tasks; understand/follow oral/written directions in English; effectively communicate orally, accurately receiving/transmitting information in English; establish/maintain cooperative relationships with the public and others.
